Blocked gutters from river vegetation
Why it happens here
The Werribee River corridor and the surrounding tree canopy drop fine leaves, seed pods and twigs onto roofs year-round. This debris washes into the gutter and packs down into a dense mat that holds moisture and blocks the downpipe outlet.
Our approach
We clear the full run with a gutter scoop and gutter vacuum rather than skimming the surface, then flush every downpipe to confirm flow. For homes closest to the river, we recommend aluminium gutter guards to reduce how often the gutters need clearing.
