Blocked gutters from heavy autumn leaf accumulation
Why it happens here
The leafy streets around Westleigh Gardens and the trees near Westleigh Gardens Reserve drop a large volume of leaves between March and May. Most of it lands on the roof and washes into the gutter, where it compacts and blocks the flow to the downpipe.
Our approach
We remove the full leaf load by hand and gutter vacuum rather than pushing it toward the downpipe, then flush every outlet to confirm flow. For properties under heavy trees we recommend gutter mesh so the next autumn is easier to manage.
